Plain-language terms for using BlackHole and this site. A formal version will be published before general availability.
Licenses
The Pro license is a one-time purchase that grants you ongoing use of BlackHole, including all v1.x updates. The Managed plan is a subscription that includes hosted inference, subject to the fair-use limits described on the pricing page. Licenses are for your own use.
Your content
You own everything you create with BlackHole. Your notes live as Markdown files on your machine. We claim no rights over your knowledge base.
Acceptable use
Don't use BlackHole to break the law or to abuse third-party services (including model providers) you connect it to. Managed inference is subject to usage limits and a per-account cost ceiling.
Billing & refunds
Payments are processed by Polar as Merchant of Record. Refund requests are handled case by case — reach out and we'll make it right.
